Jack O’Connor (2021 18U)
Taking the mound for the first time in nearly 365 days, 18U National Team alum Jack O’Connor returned after surgery to toss a perfect inning on just nine pitches in a win for Virginia over William & Mary. O’Connor, who was a Freshman All-American in 2023 before an injury in 2024, struck out one in the 15-4 win.
Anthony Eyanson (2024 CNT)
LSU junior Anthony Eyanson started on the mound for the Tigers against North Alabama and did not disappoint. The right-hander punched out 15 batters across seven frames to lead LSU to a 6-2 victory. Eyanson’s 15 Ks marked the most by an LSU pitcher since June 24, 2023.
Marek Houston (2024 CNT)
Wake Forest junior Marek Houston continued his hot start to the 2025 season with a 3-for-4 outing consisting of two doubles, a homer and 10 RBIs. The 10 RBIs tied a Wake Forest program record for most RBIs in a single game. The Nokomis, Florida native also leads the team with 32 total RBIs on the season and is tied for the team lead with six home run blasts.
Drew Burress (2019 15U, 2024 CNT)
Two-time USA Baseball alum Drew Burress became the fastest Georgia Tech player in program history to reach 30 career home runs in an 8-5 loss to Virginia Tech during a three-game series. The young star needed only 73 games to accomplish the feat, beating the previous record by 20 games. The record-setting homer was Burress’ fifth of the year after he crushed a 1-1 pitch over the left field wall.
Nolan Schubart (2019 15U, 2024 CNT)
Nolan Schubart and the Oklahoma State Cowboys enjoyed an offense-packed slate against Illinois State, scoring 40 total runs in the three-game series. The two-time USA Baseball alum was a pitcher's nightmare throughout the series as he raked in seven runs via two doubles and a grand slam. Schubart also crossed the plate himself on seven occasions and is currently batting .386 in his junior season.
Steven Milam (2016 12U, 2019 15U)
Steven Milam kept on mashing for No. 1 ranked LSU (D1Baseball) this past week, helping power the Tigers in back-to-back midweek wins over North Dakota State and a weekend sweep of North Alabama. Milam initially got his bat geauxing with a 2-for-4, three-RBI outing last Tuesday in the series opener against North Dakota State. He only got hotter from there, as the two-time USA Baseball alum ended his week with a blazing statline, batting .500 with eight hits, seven RBIs, six runs scored and two home runs. Milam’s efforts not only extended LSU’s 10-game win streak, but ballooned his hit streak to 10 games as well.
Mason Neville (2016 12U)
Not only does he lead Oregon in home runs, but Mason Neville sits among the top 10 of all NCAA Division I baseball players in the longball category with nine bombs on the season. A third of those jacks came this past week, as Neville went yard three times during the Ducks’ midweek victory over Utah Tech and its three-game sweep of Southern California. Neville’s midweek performance was an indication of the junior’s impending production at the plate, as he went 3-for-5 with a double, homer, and three runs knocked in last Tuesday. Neville’s final line after a weekend at the plate saw him tally seven hits with four being extra-base hits, six RBIs, seven runs scored and three homers.
Mason Brassfield (2022 18U)
Mason Brassfield entered in relief on Sunday for TCU against Fresno State and was dominant, tossing 6.1 innings and allowing just three hits and no runs to earn his second collegiate win. Brassfield struck out seven in the outing and walked just one batter to move to 2-0 in his freshman campaign with the Horned Frogs.
Casey Borba (2022 18U)
18U National Team alum Casey Borba helped lead Texas to a perfect 4-0 week, swinging a hot bat all week long. In the Longhorns’ midweek matchup against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Borba launched his first home run of the season before cranking another longball in the series opener against Santa Clara. A bases-clearing double on Saturday capped off his strong week, in which he picked up four hits and drove in five runs, also walking once.

Week of February 24
Elise Berger (2022, 2023, 2024 WNT)
Three-time Women’s National Team alum Elise Berger became the first female baseball player to compete for Bard College on March 1 against Manhattanville. Berger, a first-year pitcher, made the first appearance of her young career in the contest and made the most of her opportunity. The Shelburne, Vermont product tossed one inning of relief for the Raptors and nabbed the first strikeout of her collegiate career.
Steven Milam (2016 12U, 2019 15U)
Steven “Monster” Milam put up mammoth numbers during LSU’s midweek matchups against Nicholls and Dallas Baptist, in addition to the squad’s weekend sweep in the Frisco College Baseball Classic. In the five-game stretch, Milam batted .435 and racked up double-digit hits (10) to improve his batting average to .362 on the season. The starting shortstop also produced nine RBIs, scored six runs, and barreled two homers this past week to propel LSU to the No. 1 spot of the latest D1Baseball.com Top 25 poll.
Kai Caranto (2016 & 2017 12U, 2019 15U)
The former Harvard-Westlake (CA) standout and current sophomore for Cal Lutheran continues to put up ludicrous numbers for the Kingsmen. In a three-game series against Whitman, Kai Caranto picked up five RBIs on five hits, scored six runs, swiped a bag and forced seven free passes. The three-time Team USA alum also notched two-multi hit games, including a 2-for-3, three RBI day on February 28. Caranto kicks off the 2025 season with a .419 batting average and is currently riding a four-game hit streak for 7-2 Cal Lutheran.
Gavin Kilen (2021 18U)
Playing at a big-league ballpark, Tennessee’s Gavin Kilen brought the power all weekend long. Kilen had two consecutive two-homer games in wins against Oklahoma State and Rice, driving in seven runs in three games at Daikin Park. Kilen finished the weekend with nine hits in 15 at-bats, including four homers, a double, a triple, and seven runs scored. Kilen scored five runs in Saturday’s victory over Rice.
Burke-Lee Mabeus (2022 18U)
Oregon’s offense exploded in a three-game sweep of Columbia and Burke-Lee Mabeus was in the middle of all of it. The 18U National team alum had eight hits in 16 trips to the plate, cranking three doubles and driving in six runs. Mabeus also scored eight runs over the three-game set and is now batting .483 through his first eight collegiate games.
Jay Woolfolk (2023 CNT) & Samuel Dutton (2018 15U)
Virginia’s Jay Woolfolk and Auburn’s Samuel Dutton put up eerily similar lines from the mound on Feb. 28 for their respective squads. Woolfolk, a 2023 Collegiate National Team alum, tossed six standout innings and nabbed 10 punchouts for the Cavaliers in their 11-3 victory over Dartmouth. The Tigers’ Dutton also commanded the bump for six innings and struck out a whopping nine batters in a 13-0 shutout win over Ohio State. The two hurlers combined for 19 total strikeouts while not yielding a walk throughout 12 innings of play.
Justin Lebron (2024 CNT)
2024 First Team All-SEC Selection Justin Lebron continued to translate his success into his second year with the Crimson Tide at the plate, nabbing two three-hit games throughout single-game bout versus Jacksonville State and a three-games series against North Dakota State. The Alabama shortstop collected seven RBIs and crossed the plate on five different occasions thanks in large part to his three homers in the four-game span. Lebron currently boasts a .383 average with eight deep shots to get the 2025 season started.
Tre Phelps (2024 CNT)
Tre Phelps has been a major contributor for Georgia's offense, guiding the Bulldogs to a 10-game win streak and a 13-1 overall record. In his last five games, Phelps notched at least two hits in all but one appearance while also driving in eight runs in that frame. The sophomore out of Atlanta made his force felt in the four-games series against Florida Gulf Coast after he slammed a two-run blast to send the game into extra innings, allowing Georgia to complete the series sweep.

Week of February 17
Spring Training
MLB’s 2025 Spring Training schedule began over the weekend, and several USA Baseball alums showed out.
- 2023 Collegiate National Team alums Jac Caglianone (KC) and JJ Wetherholt (STL) hit their first Spring Training home runs on February 23, as Caglianone hit a solo shot and Wetherholt hit a three-run homer to complete a 2-for-3 outing at the plate.
- 2023 World Baseball Classic teammates Kyle Freeland (COL), Miles Mikolas (STL) and Nick Martinez (CIN) threw two scoreless outings each for their respective Clubs on February 23. Freeland picked up the win with a pair of K’s over the Brewers and Martinez tallied three strikeouts against the Giants.
- 18U National Team alums Robert Hassell (WSH) and Bryce Eldridge (SF) have tallied multiple hits so far in the first few games of Spring Training. Hassell, who played in 2019, is 3-for-6 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Eldridge, who played in 2022, collected a hit, including a two-run home run, in both games he has played.
- Five-time alum Alex Bregman (2010 16U, 2011 18U, 2013 & 2014 CNT, 2017 WBC) went 3-for-3 with a double and a home run, in the Boston Red Sox’s win over the Toronto Blue Jays on February 23.
Justin Lebron (2024 CNT)
Following a freshman year that saw him earn First Team All-SEC honors, many onlookers had high expectations for Justin Lebron entering into his sophomore season. The shortstop has lived up to the hype in 2025, cranking two three-run homers to help Alabama overcome a 10-run deficit to beat Ohio State on the final day of the JAX Classic. Lebron also tallied a base hit in a 4-0 win over NC State a day prior to his two-homerun performance.
Kyson Witherspoon (2024 CNT)
The Oklahoma Sooners were able to squeak by in a tightly contested battle with Minnesota, 3-2, thanks in large part to Kyson Witherspoon’s pitching efforts from atop the bump. After giving up a leadoff homer, Witherspoon locked in to retire the next 13 batters. The Jacksonville, Florida native finished his day with a career-high 12 punchouts across seven innings. Witherspoon currently owns 21 total strikeouts to begin the 2025 season.
Hunter Elliott (2022 CNT)
After missing the entire 2024 season with an injury, Hunter Elliott knew he had something to prove to begin his 2025 campaign and in two starts, Elliott has done just that for Ole Miss. The 6’3 hurler has pitched at least five frames while keeping opponents off of the board in both appearances. On Feb. 21 versus Eastern Kentucky, the left-hander struck out a career-high 10 batters across six innings to secure his side an 8-0 victory.
Dean Curley (2024 CNT)
Dean Curley and the Tennessee Volunteers have been on a roll to begin the year after claiming the College World Series title a season ago. Curley has been a major contributor to his squad outscoring opponents 75-6 to ramp up the season. In Tennessee's 29-4 win over UNC Asheville on February 18, the sophomore drove in a game-high five runs and cranked two homers in the seven-inning victory.
Paxton Kling (2021 18U)
2021 18U National Team alum Paxton Kling was nearly impossible to get out in a three-game set against Longwood. The Penn State outfielder tallied seven hits in the series, with four of them landing over the fence. Kling drove in six runs and scored seven times, reaching base in nine of his 15 trips to the plate as the Nittany Lions swept Longwood. Kling, a junior, is currently tied for second in the nation with five home runs so far this season.
Burke-Lee Mateus (2023 18U)
In his second weekend as a college baseball player, Burke-Lee Mabeus (2023 18U) made his presence known. The freshman backstop picked up a hit and drove in a pair of runs in the second game of Oregon’s series against Rhode Island before exploding in the finale, cranking a grand slam as a part of a three-hit, six-RBI game. Mabeus raised his batting average to .429 through his first five college games, also adding a pair of stolen bases on two tries.
Levi Clark (2023 18U)
With the Samford-Tennessee game tied at three in the eighth, 18U National Team alum Levi Clark was called off the bench to pinch-hit for the Vols. The freshman got a 3-1 pitch and cranked it deep over the wall in left field to give Tennessee a 7-3 lead it would go on to win by. Clark delivered again off the bench on Sunday, hitting another pinch-hit blast in a victory over Samford. He’s hitting .538 with three homers and 13 RBIs through his first 13 collegiate at-bats.
Cam Tilly (2022 18U)
Making his second appearance of the season, Cam Tilly was nearly perfect. The righthander tossed three pivotal innings in Auburn’s 7-6 win over Troy, holding the Trojans hitless while striking out seven. It was Tilly’s second outing of his sophomore season; the 18U National Team alum has struck out nine batters in 5.2 innings.
Marcos Rosales (2016 12U)
Cal State Fullerton avoided a weekend sweep by Fresno State due in large part to Marcos Rosales’ offensive firepower. Fullerton’s Rosales split time between designated hitter and second base and swung for the fences at Bob Bennett Stadium in Fresno, Calif.. Rosales homered in three straight games en route to hitting .317 with seven RBIs and six runs scored. His impressive weekend at the plate saw back-to-back multi-hit outings and a pair of three-run bombs for the Titans.
Mason Neville (2016 12U)
After putting on an unforgettable six-hit performance over opening weekend against Toledo, Mason Neville kept his foot on the gas and compiled another strong showing at the plate versus Rhode Island. In a four-game set, Neville scored nine runs, produced five RBIs, and tallied five hits including two homers. His weekend of quality at-bats was highlighted by a two home run, four-RBI outing in a 19-12 shootout win for the Ducks.
Tyler Ganus (2014 12U)
Northwestern’s Tyler Ganus simply can not be stopped. Just one week after he notched three straight two-hit games with at least one RBI, Ganus now extends his hit streak to six contests. Competing at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C., Northwestern has won five straight games as Ganus has gone 4-for-10 with two RBIs and four runs scored over the team’s past three matchups on the east coast. Ganus’ weekend was highlighted after driving in the go-ahead run against Fordham in game two of a Sunday doubleheader.

Week of February 10
Noah Franco (2022 & 2023 18U)
Two-time 18U National Team alum Noah Franco made his presence known in his collegiate debut with TCU. Starting all four games for the Horned Frogs, Franco picked up his first career hit on Saturday before blasting two home runs on Sunday, driving in four runs and scoring three tines. Franco drew two walks on Monday as TCU finished off a four-game sweep and carries a 1.213 OPS through his first collegiate weekend.
Rawley Hector (2017 15U, 2019 18U)
Rawley Hector continued his strong beginning to the season for UT-Tyler on Friday night, posting his best start of the year. Facing Texas A&M-International, Hector spun seven innings and allowed just three hits and an unearned run, punching out ten batters. Hector picked up his first win of the year and lowered his season ERA to 1.56 through three starts – hitters are batting just .185 against the two-time Team USA alum.
Jayden Hylton (2021 18U)
Stetson’s Jayden Hylton got his junior season started with a bang in Puerto Rico. Hylton hit the first home run of the Division I season on Friday, clearing the scoreboard in left field in a win over UConn. Two days later, Hylton left the yard again, this time in a win over Missouri. The USA Baseball alum finished the weekend batting .385 with two homers, two doubles, and six RBIs as the Hatters went 3-1 in Puerto Rico.
Ashton Larson (2017 12U)
LSU’s Ashton Larson batted .667 this past weekend and racked up seven RBIs over a three-game sweep of Purdue Fort Wayne. Larson started at designated hitter Sunday afternoon at Alex Box Stadium and put on a show with the bat, as he was responsible for five Tigers’ runs in an 8-1 win in the third game of the series. His three-run home run in the fourth frame handed LSU the lead while his two-RBI double in the sixth sealed the win.
Mason Neville (2016 12U)
Amidst a chilly weekend in the Pacific Northwest, Oregon’s Mason Neville torched Toledo at the plate and helped power the Ducks to a series win during opening weekend. Neville started all four games in center field and notched a pair of multi-hit outings en route to securing a four-game hit streak. The 2016 12U National Team alum scattered six hits across four contests, drove in five runs and scored five runs apiece, and tallied four extra-base hits including two homers.
Marek Houston (2024 CNT)
Wake Forest’s Marek Houston started his season off on a high note after he mashed three homers and collected 13 RBIs to open the season. The junior jumpstarted Wake’s offense, helping his side record 10+ runs in each of their first four games. To cap off the weekend, Houston went 3-for-3 with four RBIs in a 24-6 win over Marist.
Jace Laviolette (2023 CNT)
Picking up where he left off, Jace Laviolette continued his dominance at the dish after he hit at a .300 clip and nabbed a home run in each of No.1 Texas A&M’s first three games. In game 2 against Elon, the Junior from Katy, Texas homered twice, plated five runs, and crossed home three times to lead the Aggies’ offensive efforts.

Week of February 3
Jamie Mackay (2019 WNT) started all five games at multiple positions for the Ole Miss softball team at the Paradise Classic in Boca Raton, Florida. She batted .333 for the tournament (Feb. 6-8) with five hits, including three doubles and two RBIs, as the Rebels went 4-1 on the weekend.
Through two weekends of the Division II baseball season, Nick Wilson (2023 CNT) has been stellar on the bump for Angelo State. On Opening Day, he tossed six shutout innings with six strikeouts to collect the win over Texas Periman Basin on January 31. He followed it up on February 7 by surrendering just two earned runs across five innings of work.
Week of January 27
Colton Wombles (2019 15U) has been on a tear with the Gulf Coast State Commodores to start his 2025 campaign. The sophomore catcher currently owns a .368 batting average along with a team-high seven RBIs through nine games. On February 1, Wombles was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 7-2 win over Florence-Darlington Technical College. Thanks in large part to Womble, the Commodores sit atop the Division I-Panhandle Conference with an 8-1 record.
