Amplify the Game is a transformative initiative aimed at growing baseball throughout the United States. We are committed to creating opportunities for children to discover and fall in love with the game. By introducing baseball in traditional and non-traditional ways to new areas, we hope to cultivate the next generation of fans and players, ensuring fans for life and the sport’s prosperous future.
We are dedicated to building a foundation for players, coaches, umpires, parents and fans that fosters growth and sustainability in baseball communities and leagues nationwide. By providing these resources, we aim to help the game thrive and expand, offering more children the chance to participate in baseball. This includes developing new programs for kids focused on engagement and retention, ensuring they will become fans for life.
Two USA Baseball programs are the cornerstones of this initiative: Fun At Bat and Baseball5. Launched in 2015, Fun At Bat is an introductory-level bat-and-ball program for kids emphasizing character development, functional movement, literacy, active play and fun! The overarching goal of this program is to promote fun and active lifestyles for children through physical education classes at elementary schools. To date, more than 5.5 million kids have participated in the transformative program.
Baseball5, also known as street baseball, is a new program for USA Baseball and is a dynamic, high-energy game that requires minimal equipment and can be played anywhere, emphasizing the sport's inclusivity and versatility. Baseball5 makes the fundamentals of baseball more accessible to enthusiasts and athletes across the United States.
