CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball today revealed the bracket for the 2025 National High School Invitational (NHSI) presented the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance (GRSA) and NettingPros. The NHSI is scheduled for April 9-12 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
The first round will feature eight matchups between the nation’s top high school programs. The NHSI is a single-elimination tournament, with the 2025 champion being crowned on Friday, April 11 at Coleman Field.
FIRST ROUND MATCHUPS
Regis Jesuit vs. Wesleyan Christian
Both teams are returning for their second trips to the NHSI. Regis Jesuit debuted in 2022 and posted a 2-1 record, while Wesleyan Christian comes back to Cary after a 1-3 showing in 2024.
Trinity Christian vs. The Stony Brook School
Trinity Christian makes its fourth overall and second consecutive appearance at the NHSI. Trinity has gone 2-2 in each of its first three tournament trips, reaching the quarterfinal round each time. 2025 marks the NHSI debut of The Stony Brook School.
Collierville vs. Holly Springs
Both programs will make their first NHSI appearance in 2025.
Huntington Beach vs. Poly Prep
The 2025 NHSI will be Huntington Beach’s ninth trip to Cary for the prestigious event. The Oilers are two-time NHSI champions, taking home the trophy in 2016 and 2023 and posting an overall NHSI record of 20-8. Poly Prep returns for the second time and first since 2016, when it also met Huntington Beach in the first round.
Corona vs. Casteel
The defending champions, Corona looks to stay unbeaten at the NHSI after running the table in its first appearance in 2024. Casteel also debuted at the tournament last year, reaching the quarterfinal round and posting a 3-2 record.
Christopher Columbus vs. Edwardsville
Both programs will make their first NHSI appearance in 2025.
Corona del Sol vs. Granada
Corona del Sol will be appearing in its second-ever NHSI after making its initial trip to Cary in 2019, while Granada makes its NHSI debut.
Venice vs. La Mirada
Venice comes to the NHSI for the second time in program history after making a run to the semifinals in a 3-1 showing in 2013. La Mirada also returns to Cary for the second time following a two-win performance in 2019.
