CARY, N.C. - USA Baseball announced today the hiring of Will Chriscoe as its Senior Director of Development. In this new role, he will lead the implementation of the organization's development plan with alumni, individuals and foundations, while working to secure financial support for USA Baseball's national team programs and other initiatives.
Chriscoe is immediately tasked with developing and executing an alumni outreach strategy for the nearly 3,000 athletes who have played for a USA Baseball national team in an effort to foster long-term engagement with the organization.
"We are thrilled to have Will rejoin the organization as our first Senior Director of Development," said Paul Seiler, USA Baseball's Executive Director and CEO. "Will has a proven track record of successful outreach and continued growth within the amateur landscape, and we are excited for what he can contribute to our organization. With the creation of this position, USA Baseball will look to further our engagement with the thousands of alumni who have represented our country on the international stage."
Chriscoe returns to USA Baseball after completing an internship with the organization in 2007 and brings 11 years of professional experience in amateur athletics to this role. He most recently served as Assistant Athletics Director of Development at East Carolina University, where he managed day-to-day fundraising efforts of 13 full-time staff serving more than 13,000 donors.
"I am honored to accept this position and grateful for the opportunity to rejoin and serve USA Baseball," said Chriscoe. "I look forward to connecting with all of our former players who have worn a Team USA jersey and represented the red, white and blue. Our organization has such a storied history of excellence and I am excited to build upon this success, as well as inspire others to invest in the future of USA Baseball."
Prior to his tenure at East Carolina, Chriscoe spent time at North Carolina State and South Florida universities, holding various positions in fundraising and ticket operations. He also gained experience managing high-level corporate sports marketing partnerships as an account executive with Wolfpack Sport Properties of Learfield IMG College.
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Chriscoe and his family were also longtime supporters of the USA Baseball Host Family program. The Host Family program was created as part of the former Tournament of Stars to provide a welcoming and hospitable experience for the top athletes in the country as they tried out for the 18U National Team. He and his family hosted players such as Jamie Callahan, Isaac Galloway, Aaron Hicks, Manny Machado, Mike Rivera and Bubba Starling, among others, as part of this program.
