Kangaroo Court American Roos Outlast Team Warstic Washington

West Palm Beach, Fla. - The rain stayed away just long enough for the Kangaroo Court American Roos to outlast Team Warstic Washington for a 4-3 win during the 15U National Team Championships' Game of the Day on Monday.
Both teams were held scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when Kangaroo Court scored three runs to break the tie. Kangaroo Court loaded the bases after drawing three walks before Team Warstic brought Wes Mendes home with another walk. Christofer Walley hit a two-RBI double to bring Aidan Miller and Matthew Rose in for a 3-0 lead.
Team Warstic Washington responded with three of their own runs in the top of the fifth. Two singles put runners on the corners and a balk by Kangaroo Court brought Brayden Sprencel in to get Team Warstic on the board. Carter Ford and Gavin Chaisson scored on a pair of Kangaroo Court errors, tying the game at three.
Kangaroo Court quickly regained the lead in the bottom of the inning after three walks and a fielder's choice brought Colton Wombles home to score the go-ahead run.
Walley (1-0) pitched all seven innings for Kangaroo Court to earn the win. He allowed three runs on five hits while striking out 10. Team Warstic's Jacob Cruz (0-1) was tagged with the loss with three runs on two hits, seven walks and two strikeouts during his four innings on the mound.
The Kangaroo Court American Roos advance to 5-0 and Team Warstic Washington falls to 2-3 for the tournament going into the start of bracket play on Tuesday.
