Top Tier Americans Dominant on Day One at the 2018 10U Futures Invitational, Win 10-1

Cary, N.C. - Top Tier Americans secured the victory over Sandcrabs by a score of 10-1 on Thursday at the 2018 10U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.
The reigning 2017 10U and 11U Futures Invitational champions, Top Tier Americans looked to show that they came to recapture glory this year.
Sandcrabs got on the board early on, scoring on a passed ball from Top Tier Americans. That would be it offensively for Sandcrabs and their lead would not hold for long.
Top Tier Americans came fighting back in the bottom half of the inning, scoring two runs on three hits. They would go on to score in every inning for the rest of the game, tallying 10 runs in total on 14 hits and two walks.
Max Medina and Kruz Schoolcraft led the charge for Top Tier Americans. The pair combined for four hits in six at-bats and were responsible for five of the ten runs scored in the ballgame.
On the defensive side of the ball, CJ Sampson pitched a gem. The crafty right hander tossed 3.1 innings of no-run baseball, striking out three and surrendering just one hit.
Sandcrabs and Top Tier Americans both play another game later this afternoon at 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., respectively.
