CARROLLTON, Texas - The Women's National Team fell to the Texas Dirtbags 10-1 on Tuesday at Hawk Field in Carrollton, Texas. The game marked the end of the national team training as Team USA will now compete in the 2019 COPABE Women's Pan-American Championships, beginning on Sunday, August 18.

Malaika Underwood (San Diego, Calif.) led Team USA offensively, singling in her only at-bat of the contest and scoring Team USA's lone run in the fourth inning.

Marti Sementelli (West Newton, Mass.) tossed a solid two innings as the starter for the red, white, and blue, scattering two hits and striking out one batter without allowing a run. Brittany Schutte (Fountain Valley, Calif.) also held the Dirtbags scoreless in her two innings of relief, striking out two batters.

• Malaika Underwood singled to lead off the fourth, moved around to third on a groundout by Megan Baltzell (Stafford, Va.) and scored on a Michelle Cobb (Wenatchee, Wash.) RBI groundout that gave Team USA a 1-0 lead.
• The Dirtbags controlled the game after a six-run fifth and collected insurance runs in the sixth and seventh innings to finalize the score at 10-1.
