CARY, N.C. - Brenden Lewis pitched a complete game and drove in two runs to lead San Diego Show past Top Tier Americans in the bronze medal game of the 2019 11U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park on Sunday.
Lewis earned the win on the mound for San Diego Show (3-2) after holding the Top Tier Americans' (3-2) offense to one unearned run in the game. Christopher Sampson suffered the loss for the Top Tier Americans, allowing four runs on eight hits in his four innings of work.
Lewis also led San Diego Show at the plate, finishing the game going 4-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Nathan K contributed a 3-for-4 day with a pair of RBIs and James Cark also tallied two hits and scored three runs to lead the San Diego Show to a bronze medal. Brayden Waggoner and Christopher Sampson both went 2-for-3 on the day to pace Top Tier Americans.
