CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball and USA Baseball Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield - the media and technology company powering athletics - today announced a multi-year partnership renewal agreement with Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment (GSE). The renewed agreement solidifies Morgan Stanley GSE’s role as a Proud Financial Education Partner of the national governing body for baseball.
The partnership continues to focus on providing impactful financial literacy programming for athletes and their families, with an emphasis on USA Baseball’s 16U/17U National Team Development Program (NTDP). As part of the agreement, Morgan Stanley GSE will continue to create and deliver custom financial literacy programming and insights, designed specifically for the NTDP athletes, highlighted by in-person seminars, breakout sessions, and other educational components during their weeklong experience at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary.
In 2025, Morgan Stanley GSE will also kick off the renewed partnership by building and hosting new tailored programs specifically geared for USA Baseball athletes’ parents, educating and equipping them with information to aid their children as they continue their athletic careers and life journeys.
“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment as a Proud Financial Education Partner of USA Baseball,” said David Perkins, Chief Operating Officer of USA Baseball. “The National Team Development Program is focused on the overall growth of our athletes, both on the field and off, so having a world leader financial services company provide a customized financial literacy program is a tremendous value add to the program.
“In addition, we are excited that Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment is not only addressing the critical knowledge gap in financial literacy for young athletes, but also extending their educational opportunities to parents of our national team athletes through a new webinar series set to begin next year. This initiative will positively impact families and their ability to support and guide their children toward a more secure financial future.”
The NTDP is a premier baseball experience designed to provide athletes with a national team-like experience aimed to prepare athletes for future opportunities on USA Baseball national teams. The program combines on-field training and competition with off-field educational seminars to foster the holistic development of the participants. The 2025 16U/17U NTDP is scheduled to take place July 23-27 at the National Training Complex in Cary.
“We are pleased to officially extend our relationship with USA Baseball and its National Team Development Program by providing its athletes, and now their parents, with financial education, insights, knowledge, and perspectives to help bolster their financial aptitude,” said Sandra L. Richards, Head of Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment and Segment Sales & Engagement. “These important sessions and conversations are foundational elements to guiding athletes at USA Baseball toward empowered and sound financial decisions that can be instrumental to their success on and off the baseball diamond for many years to come. And with the inclusion of parents and guardians to our new programming, we look forward to working more closely with them to help guide and support their children as they work toward realizing their dreams and goals, both in baseball and beyond.”
