Banditos Black 2, Total Baseball Dirty South Bats 0


Banditos Black earned its first shutout win of the tournament, defeating Total Baseball Dirty South Bats 2-0 on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
It was a classic pitcher's duel, as Banditos Black starting pitcher Titan Targac had a strong performance, recording 10 strikeouts in 6.0 innings on the mound. Banditos Black scored both of its runs in the second inning after Aiden Acosta drove in the first run with an RBI-groundout before Kalub Ramirez hit an RBI-single to center field.
Targac earned his first win of the tournament in his second start on the mound for Banditos Black. Ramirez (1) logged the save, tallying one strikeout in 1.0 inning pitched. Diego Velazquez (0-1) suffered the loss after allowing a run in one inning on the mound
Banditos Black improved to 3-0 in the tournament and Total Baseball Dirty South Bats is now 2-1.

San Diego Show 4, Elite Squad 2


San Diego Show came from behind to defeat Elite Squad 4-2 on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
Elite Squad scored first in the bottom of the third when Jonathan Matos Morales hit a line drive to right field and plated two runs. San Diego Show responded in the top of the fourth when Brenden Lewis hit an RBI-double to bring home James Clark. Two batters later, Taytum Reeves hit a two-RBI triple to left field to take the lead. Clark added one more run in the fifth after a sacrifice fly to center.
Juan (1-0) Iniguez earned the win for San Diego Show after 6.1 innings pitched and logging eight strikeouts. Spencer Krasner (0-1) suffered the loss after allowing four runs in 4.2 innings pitched.
San Diego Show moved to 2-1 at the tournament, while Elite Squad fell to 1-2.

Traction Canes 1, SBA Futures 0


Traction Canes earned its first shutout win of the tournament, defeating SBA Futures 1-0 on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
It was a classic pitcher's duel, as Traction Canes starting pitcher Hayes Segar threw a complete-game shutout. Traction Canes scored the only run of the game in the top of the second after Segar recorded an RBI-groundout, bringing home Parker Jewell.
Segar (1-0) earned his first win of the tournament. SBA Futures' Johnny Compton (0-1) was tabbed with the loss.
Traction Canes move to 1-2, while SBA Futures drops to 0-3.

Canes Baseball 1, Scorpion Team Easton 0


Canes Baseball outlasted Scorpion Team Easton in a pitcher's duel to earn a 1-0 win on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
Canes Baseball scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the first after Sawyer Cannon hit an RBI-double line drive to left field. Canes Baseball starting pitcher Gannon Jones had a strong performance, with 6.0 innings pitched and seven strikeouts.
Jones (1-0) earned his first win of the tournament, while Logan Johnson (0-1) was tagged with the loss.
Canes Baseball improved to 2-1 on the third day of competition, while Scorpion Team Easton fell to 1-2.

Top Tier Americans 5, I AM Baseball 1


Top Tier Americans used a fast start to defeat I AM Baseball 5-1 on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
Top Tier Americans' Josiah Hartshorn hit an inside-the-park home run on a line drive to left field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first. Six batters later, Braden Carrillo added a run with an RBI-groundout. Top Tier Americans' Brayden Waggoner hit a fly ball RBI-double to right field to score two in the bottom of the fourth. I AM Baseball scored its lone run in the top of the fifth on a wild pitch.
Hartshorn (1-0) earned the win after 5.2 innings pitched and eight strikeouts. Donovan Thiery (0-1) was given the loss after 4.0 innings pitched and allowing six runs.
Top Tier Americans stay perfect at 3-0, while I AM Baseball drops to 1-2.

Traction Canes 4, FCA Blueclaws 3


It took extra innings for Tractions Canes to complete a 4-3 comeback win over FCA Blueclaws on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
FCA Blueclaws jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the first inning after Tyler Ellis hit an RBI-line drive to left field, plating two. Traction Canes responded in the bottom of the third when Harrison Kidder hit an RBI-single line drive to center field, logging one run. Traction Canes tied the game up at two runs apiece in the bottom of the fifth before Logan Sorrel hit an RBI-groundout to the shortstop.
FCA Blueclaws regained the lead and scored its final run of the game in the top of the sixth with an RBI-walk form Tripp Hannah. In the bottom of the seventh, Traction Canes loaded the bases on three errors by FCA Blueclaws. Traction Canes' Mac Beadle scored on an error by the pitcher, tying the game. In the bottom of the eighth, FCA Blueclaws scored the final run of the game when Myles Ledoux hit an RBI-sacrifice fly to right field.
Mills Richardson (1-0) earned his first win of the tournament after 4.0 innings pitched and five strikeouts. Joshua Murray suffered the loss after 6.0 innings pitched and two runs allowed.
Traction Canes improved to 2-2, while FCA Blueclaws fell to 1-3.

SBA Futures 2, KC Crusaders 1


SBA Futures came from behind and defeated KC Crusaders 2-1 on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
After four scoreless innings, KC Crusaders took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth after a balk by SBA Futures. In the top of the seventh, Chase Kiker hit an RBI-single to right field, tying the game up. Bryce Mancz hit an RBI-single to right field in the next at-bat, sealing the game for SBA Futures.
Tyler Cain (1-0) earned his first win of the tournament after 2.0 innings pitched, zero hits allowed and two strikeouts. Drew Yockey (0-1) was tagged with the loss after allowing two runs in the final inning.
SBA Futures sits at 1-3 in its final game of the tournament, while KC Crusaders also finished 1-3.

Twelve Baseball 11, Canes Baseball 7


Twelve Baseball scored eight runs in the final inning to complete the comeback over Canes Baseball, winning 11-7 on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
Canes Baseball jumped out to a three-run lead in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded in the top of the third, Austin Carlisle was hit by a pitch, plating Twelve Baseball's first run of the game. Canes Baseball tallied four more runs in the bottom of the third to extend the lead to, 6-1, before Twelve Baseball cut the deficit to four with a bases-loaded walk and an RBI-groundout from Landon Carrillo, making the score 7-3 with two innings left to play.
The first seven batters were able to get on base in the top of the sixth inning adding, three more runs in for Twelve Baseball. John Mckernan grounded into a fielder's choice, plating two runs and as Twelve Baseball took an 8-7 lead. Landon Ellstrom added three more runs for Twelve Baseball with a bases-clearing triple.
John Richardson earned the win after 4.0 innings pitched. Sawyer Cannon suffered the loss after .1 innings pitched and four runs allowed.
Twelve Baseball finished with a 3-1 record at the tournament, while Canes Baseball fell to 2-2.

Elite Squad 7, Wilson Sandlot 4


Elite Squad used a five-run fourth inning to defeat Wilson Sandlot on Saturday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC.
Wilson Sandlot tallied three runs in the bottom of the third to jump out to an early lead. Elite Squad scored its first run on an RBI-triple to center by Jonathan Matos Morales, before adding four more runs to take a 5-3 lead. In the top of the fifth, Matos Morales hit an RBI-single to increase Elite Squads lead by three, before Wilson Sandlot scored its final run of the game in the home half of the inning. Elite Squad's Mateo Gordon scored the final run of the game when he stole home.
Matos Morales (1-0) earned the win for his team after 3.0 innings pitched. Austin Smith (0-1) was tabbed with the loss after giving up three runs in 0.2 innings pitched.
Elite Squad finished the tournament with a 2-2 record, with falling to 1-3.

MVP Hustle 9, Stars Baseball Camp 2


Offense was the name of the game for MVP Hustle as they took down Stars Baseball Camp 9-2 in the 11U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Both teams were scoreless over the first two frames before Hamilton Friedberg hit an RBI-triple to MVP Hustle ahead 1-0. MVP Hustle would tack on another run in the inning, but the lead wouldn't last long as Stars Baseball Camp put up two of their own in the bottom half to tie the game at two apiece.
MVP Hustle starting pitcher Elliott Webb would hold the Stars Baseball Camp offense to a pair of runs for the rest of the night. The MVP Hustle went on to score seven more runs over the final four innings of the ballgame, totaling 14 hits and nine runs in total.
Webb earned the win (1-0) for MVP Hustle while Caden Merritt suffered the loss (0-1) for Stars Baseball Camp.

Twelve Baseball 6, FCA Blueclaws 1


Clay Mitchell was lights out for Twelve Baseball on Saturday afternoon, tossing a one-run complete game and helping Twelve Baseball to a 6-1 win over FCA Blueclaws at the 11U Futures Invitational in Cary, North Carolina.
Twelve Baseball jumped out to an early lead in the second inning as Landon Carrillo singled up the middle to drive in the first run of the game an. Twelve Baseball would add another run in the inning just one batter later, putting them up 2-0. Two runs of support were all that Twelve Baseball starting pitcher Clay Mitchell would need, as he threw seven strong innings, allowing just five hits, one walk, and one run while striking out two batters to secure the 6-1 victory. He was credited with the win (1-0), while Brennan Bachtell Jr. took the loss (0-1) for FCA Blueclaws.

Wilson Sandlot 4,  KC Crusaders 3


Extra innings were needed to determine a winner in Saturday afternoon's contest between Wilson Sandlot and KC Crusaders, with the KC Crusaders coming out on top 4-3 at the 11U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Neither side had the lead for long, with KC Crusaders gaining the advantage after scoring a run in the second before Wilson Sandlot scored two in the next half inning. In the bottom of the third, KC Crusaders added two runs of their own to put them ahead 3-2, but the back-and-forth game continued as Wilson Sandlot scored in the next half inning to tie the at three all.
The game remained tied at three through the end of regulation. KC Crusaders escaped the jam in the top of the eighth before Blake Jay walked it off in the bottom of the eighth with a single to right field to drive in the winning run and give the KC Crusaders a 4-3 win.
Elliot Fischer (1-0) was credited as the winning pitcher while Gio Liburdi (0-1) was tagged with the loss.

Stars Baseball Camp 8, Scorpions Team East 4


The offensive flood gates were open early Saturday afternoon in the contest between Stars Baseball Camp and Scorpions Team East, with Stars Baseball Camp prevailing 8-4 in the 11U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Stars Baseball Camp wasted no time getting on the board, posting six runs in the top of the first inning on three walks and three base hits. Scorpions Team East battled back, posting four runs of their own in the home half of the inning to make it a 6-4 game.
That score would last for much of the game as the pitchers began to settle in, allowing no more runs to cross the plate until Brady Burkhart singled and came around to score in the fifth to increase the Stars Baseball Camp lead to 7-4. They would tack on another insurance run in the next inning to extend their lead to 8-4.
Owen Peltier (1-0) was credited as the winning pitcher in the contest while Nathan Preto (0-1) was the losing pitcher of record.

I AM Baseball 13, Total Dirty South Bats 1


I AM Baseball powered past Total Dirty South Bats 13-1 at the 11U Futures Invitational Saturday afternoon at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.
I AM Baseball scored two runs in the top of the first to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. Sebastian Echeverry was excellent on the mound for I AM Baseball, throwing five innings while striking out four in the process. He would be followed out of the bullpen by Derek Guzman, who was equally effective, allowing no runs in two innings of work.
I AM Baseball exploded for eight runs in the eighth inning to widen their lead to 10-1, and after adding three more in the seventh, they secured the 13-1 victory over Total Dirty South Bats.
Echeverry (1-0) was the winning pitcher and Matthew Manzo (0-1) was the losing pitcher.
