Cary, N.C. - San Diego Show were victorious over Elite Squad in the 2018 11U Futures Invitational bronze medal game on Sunday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina. This will mark the third straight year that they have come home with hardware after being runners-up in the 2016 and 2017 11U Futures Invitational.

There was not much offense going for either team through the first three frames as starting pitchers Talan Holiday of Elite Squad and Levi Uslander of San Diego Show both turned in impressive outings. Holiday would last for 3.1 innings on the bump, allowing three hits and two walks, surrendering five runs (two earned). Uslander threw 4.1 innings, tallying four strikeouts while allowing two earned runs.
The offense for both team did not pick up until the fourth inning, when Elite Squad got on the board first with an RBI triple from Louis D'Allesio. Things would soon heat up as D'Allesio collided with San Diego Show catcher Landon Reid at the plate. D'Allesio was immediately ejected from the ballgame.
The Elite Squad lead would not last long as San Diego Show began to make a comeback in the bottom half of the inning when six of their first seven batter reached base. They would score five runs in the inning on three hits, two walks, and an Elite Squad error. Jett Kenady was the overall offensive leader for San Diego Show as he had two hits, one run scored, and one RBI in three at-bats on the day.
San Diego Show relief pitcher Stunner Gonzales entered the game in the fifth inning and would hold down the lead for the rest of the game. He allowed two hits, three walks, and struck out three. The final score was 5-2.
