The second day of 12U National Training Camp gave players the opportunity to stand out and prove themselves using in-game scenarios highlighted within game one of the Stars and Stripes four-game series.
Joshua Park sparked the Stars’ offensive attack early with an RBI-single, giving the Stars the first lead of the day.
After going down early, Austin Lira and the Stripes’ defense rebounded with an amazing leaping grab in right field to quiet the Stars batters.
Later in the game, small ball became crucial for the stars, seeing Brett Hamlin drive one home after a sacrifice bunt in the previous at-bat.
Capping things off, Jayden Portes stepped up to the plate and smacked a huge two-RBI double for the Stripes.
Players at the 12U National Team Training Camp will be back in action tomorrow to play the second game of the Stars and Stripes series.
