CARY, N.C. - Despite a five-run fourth inning from Team Stars, Team Stripes overcame a blown lead and pulled off a heroic two-run seventh-inning rally that earned the team a 6-5 win in the first game of the 15U National Team Training Camp in Cary, North Carolina, on Monday.

How it Happened

  • The Stars both opened and ended the scoring for the day, putting up two runs in the second frame — Jared Grindlinger drew first blood with a double to left field.
  • Team Stars added another run in the third via a sacrifice fly from Andrew Maniscalco.
