SELECTION PROCESS
In 2025, USA Baseball 15U National Team Training Camp will include a minimum of 44 players. These 44 athletes will be identified through the USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS) and National Team Championships, as well as recommendations from scouts and coaches from the professional and amateur baseball community. NATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
The USA Baseball National Team Championships are the primary identification event for the 15U National Team. The National Team Championships are elite championship-style events held in Arizona and North Carolina for more than 300 teams to showcase their talents against top programs and players from across the nation while being scouted for national team and development programs at USA Baseball by its task force. Age groups at the National Team Championships include 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 17U.
USA Baseball will invite a minimum of 30 athletes to the 15U Training Camp from the 14U and 15U National Team Championships.
NATIONAL TEAM IDENTIFICATION SERIES
*Athletes who participate in the NTIS are trying out for national teams and development programs for the following calendar year
The USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS) is the most comprehensive player identification program offered by USA Baseball. Players from across the country will begin the identification process by participating in camps and tryouts at the local level in one of six regions across the country. After camps and tryouts have been completed, each region will name 32 athletes from each of the 11U, 12U and 13U age groups, and 36 athletes from each of the 14U, 15U and 16U age groups, to two All-Region teams that will participate in the NTIS Champions Cup at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
The NTIS Champions Cup features 12 teams per age group and athletes will participate in workouts and a championship-style tournament while being evaluated by the USA Baseball Task Force comprised of national team coaches and scouts.
Following the Champions Cup, USA Baseball will invite 12 athletes to the following year's 15U Team Training Camp from the 14U NTIS Champions Cup events.
13U/14U ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The USA Baseball Athlete Development Program (ADP) is a week-long development event where players will take part in skill-based development sessions, listen to various guest speakers and compete in intrasquad games. Participants will be provided an individual player assessment report by the coaching staff following the event and be evaluated for a potential opportunity to advance to the 15U National Team Training Camp.
OTHER
Additional secondary events may be held throughout the year by USA Baseball that may also be used to identify players for current or future 15U National Team Training Camp. These events may include any additional events held at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
NATIONAL TEAM TRAINING CAMP
Once the 44 players have been identified and invited, they will convene prior to international competition for the 2025 USA Baseball 15U National Team Training Camp. Training Camp will consist of one phase, where the 44 players will be split into two teams and participate in practices and intra-squad games for six days to compete for one of the 20 roster spots on the 2025 USA Baseball 15U National Team.
