Nine Athletes Invited to 12U Trials from 11U Futures Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. - USA Baseball announced nine athletes that received invitations to the 2018 12U National Team Trials. The nine athletes all participated in the 11U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park from June 21-24. 5 Star MVP took home the gold medal in the event, defeating the defending champions Top Tier Americans, 9-5, in the gold-medal game.
San Diego Show finished third at the event after defeating Elite Squad, 5-2, in the third place game.
The 12U National Team Trials will take place July 26-28 at VTV Baseball in Castaic, California. These nine athletes will join twelve additional athletes who were selected to the Trials roster from the 2017 USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS). The final 15 roster spots will be selected from the 12U National Open that will take place July 23-25.
