DURHAM, N.C. - Seven USA Baseball alumni won the 2017 Major League Baseball World Series with the Houston Astros on Wednesday, including World Series MVP George Springer, who was a member of the 2010 Collegiate National Team. Springer hit .292 with 18 RBI and seven doubles for the stars and stripes.
2017 ALCS MVP, Justin Verlander, also played for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. Verlander recorded a 1.34 ERA with Team USA in 2003 as he allowed just six runs and struck out 41 in 40.1 innings of work.
