Oregon State’s Aiva Arquette Named Golden Spikes Player of the Week

CARY, N.C. – Oregon State’s Aiva Arquette tied Oregon State’s single-game hit record over the weekend en route to being named USA Baseball’s Golden Spikes Award Week 10 Player of the Week presented by Chinook Seedery and DI Baseball.

Arquette helped the Beavers extend their win streak to 10 games last week with a midweek win at UCLA and series sweep at Cal State Northridge.

After a 2-for-4 outing with a run scored against the Bruins, he proceeded to go 9-for-13 (.692 BA) with 11 runs scored and 11 RBIs against the Matadors. His weekend was highlighted by a 6-for-6 performance in the series finale on April 19. His six-hit day tied the program record for the most hits in a single game, which was set in 2022 by Justin Boyd, and included a grand slam.

The junior infielder is currently on a 10-game hit streak and 13-game reached base streak, and leads his team in nearly every offensive category.
