
Tyler Collins was promoted to Senior Director of Youth Programs and Education at USA Baseball in October 2024, where he continues to oversee the Fun At Bat program, which surpassed five million students in 2024, and various youth-focused initiatives designed to grow the game of baseball. Collins now also manages USA Baseball’s educational offerings, which includes online courses, certifications, in-person clinics, and educational resources aimed at supporting coaches, parents, players, and umpires in their development within the sport. Additionally, He serves as the liaison with MLB for the PLAY BALL partnership, supporting MLB events and initiatives under the PLAY BALL umbrella.
Before joining USA Baseball, Collins worked at USA Football, where he served as the Coordinator of Football Development. During his five years with USA Football, Collins played a key role in increasing participation in the NFL FLAG program from approximately 150,000 participants in 2011 to over 370,000 in 2016. He also managed annual youth flag football tournaments at NFL team facilities and national championship events held in conjunction with the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, and NFL Draft.
From 2017 to 2024, Collins focused on growing youth baseball participation through the Fun At Bat Program, particularly in MLB and MiLB markets to foster community engagement and enhance the introductory experience for young players. His efforts contributed to the growth of youth baseball participation beyond school programs.
Collins earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration from Ball State University. He resides in Apex, North Carolina, with his wife, Nina, stepdaughter, Abby Kate, and son, Quinn.
