THUNDER BAY, Ontario – Amidst a much-awaited tournament opener, Team USA will have to wait another day to hit the diamond at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women’s Baseball World Cup Finals. Sunday’s contest between Team USA and Venezuela was ruled a no-contest after Venezuela had to forfeit, giving the stars and stripes a 1-0 record in round-robin play.
Team USA will now kick off international competition on Monday afternoon, when the U.S. will take on Mexico at 3:00 p.m. ET. Live stats will be provided via WBSC, and the contest will be streamed on GameTime while highlights will be posted to YouTube.
