USA Baseball Reveals 2019 National Open Roster

111 athletes will participate in the 2019 event with a chance to make the 12U National Team

DURHAM, N.C. - USA Baseball revealed the 111 players chosen to participate in the 2019 12U National Open. The National Open will be held from July 13-15 at William S. Hart Pony Baseball and Softball Park in Santa Clarita, California.
All 111 athletes were selected to compete at the National Open based on their performance at a USA Baseball Identification event., including the National Team Identification Series, the Futures Series and the Futures Invitational.
A total of 22 different states will be represented at the 2019 National Open. California leads the way with 54 participants followed by Texas with 11 and Arizona with eight.
National Open participants will showcase their talent in front of USA Baseball national team coaches and staff, participating in a series of athletic evaluations, skill testing and four exhibition games.
At the conclusion of the National Open, 15 athletes will be invited to the 2019 12U National Team Trials from July 16-18 at the William S. Hart Pony Baseball and Softball Park. They will join 21 previously selected players from the 2019 USA Baseball 11U Futures Invitational and the 2018 USA Baseball 11U National Team Identification Series (NTIS) to round out the 36-man national team trials roster.
The final 18-man 12U National Team roster will be announced on July 18. Team USA will compete for a record fourth-consecutive world championship title at the 2019 World Baseball Softball Confederation U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan from July 26-August 4.
