USA Baseball Announces 2019 12U National Team Roster

The 12U National Team will compete for a record fourth straight world championship

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - USA Baseball announced the 18-man 12U National Team roster on Thursday, following the conclusion of the 12U National Team Trials at William S. Hunt Pony Baseball and Softball Park in Santa Clarita, California. 
Team USA will compete at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan, beginning Friday, July 26. The 12U National Team will be playing for a record fourth consecutive world championship after earning the IBAF "A" World Cup gold medal in 2013, followed by gold medals at the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in 2015 and 2017. 
"We are thrilled with the eighteen young men that we have selected to represent the United States at the World Baseball Softball Confederation U-12 Baseball World Cup," said 12U National Team Program Director Will Schworer. "We are looking forward to growing as a team over the next two days and are ready for the challenges ahead."
Before heading to Taiwan, the 2019 12U National Team will train from July 19-22 at William S. Hart Pony Baseball and Softball Park. Team USA will play two exhibition games on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. The opponents will be announced at a later time.
Todd Fine will lead the 12U National Team as the team's manager for the second consecutive year and is joined on staff by RJ Farrell, Jason Sekany and Marc Wiese. The entire coaching staff returns to Team USA after leading the 12U National Team to its first-ever gold medal at the 2018 COPABE U-12 Pan-American Championships.
