CAREER BIO

Casey Scott recently made his second appearance on the 15U National Team coaching staff and as pitching coach in 2024. In this most recent stint, Scott saw his pitchers hold opponents to a .073 batting average, notch a 0.00 ERA, and allow zero runs to score in the five-game set. In those five games, Scott's staff tossed two no-hitters, allowed only eight hits, six walks, and tallied 61 strikeouts. In last summer’s International Friendship Series, Scott’s staff allowed just four earned runs and struck out 38 batters in 31 innings of work, holding opponents to a .107 batting average against. In addition to his stint as pitching coach in 2023, Scott has also been involved with USA Baseball in several different capacities. He has made three appearances on a development program coaching staff, first as a pitching coach at the 2019 14U NTDP, and has been part of the four 15U National Team Training Camps. He just wrapped up his fifth season as the head coach of Bishop Verot Catholic High School (Fort Myers, Fla.), where he has guided his program to the USA Baseball National High School Invitational (NHSI) in both 2022 and 2023. Prior to his time at Bishop Verot, Scott spent a season as an assistant coach for the State University of New York (SUNY) at Cortland and four seasons as the head coach at Ave Maria University in Florida. Scott also served as head coach of the Syracuse Jr. Chiefs of the New York Collegiate Baseball League and led the squad to a title en route to being named the league’s Coach of the Year in 2012. He began his coaching career at SUNY Brockport in 2009 after pitching for two seasons for the Golden Eagles and posting a 9-0 record.
