FSU’s Jamie Arnold is one of the top sophomore arms in the country, leading FSU with a 9-3 record and 2.42 ERA. Arnold’s 124 strikeouts rank fifth in the country, while his strikeout-to-walk ratio of 6.52 and ERA also rank in the top 15.
Arnold has four double-digit strikeout games this season, including a career-high 17 at Pittsburgh on May 10. Arnold’s 17 strikeouts are the second most in the country this season, and were the most for any Seminole since 1987; they were also the most for an ACC pitcher since 2018.
At No. 3 Clemson, Arnold allowed just one run over a career-high 7 innings. He did not allow an earned run through his first 23.1 innings of 2024.
