After being named as the Conference USA Preseason Player of the Year as well as a Preseason All-American by four major publications, Nolan Schanuel has exceeded even the highest of expectations in 2023. The Boynton Beach, Florida, native finished the final weekend of the regular season leading all of Division I in on-base percentage (.623) and batting average (.457). Schanuel also finished third in slugging percentage (.888). He also became the first player in program history to hit over .440 in a single regular season.
