Texas Tech’s sophomore second baseman Jace Jung has continued where he left off during his 2021 All-American season. Through 54 games, the San Antonio native leads the Red Raiders in batting average (.358), runs (64) and home runs (13). He has gathered 70 hits and 56 RBI while also drawing the third-most walks in the nation with 55 leading to a .492 on-base percentage that's also a Top 25 mark in the nation. Defensively, the fan-favorite owns a .987 fielding percentage. In the 2021 season, Jung earned the Big 12 Player of the Year, NCBWA Freshman All-American and National Freshman Hitter of the Year and on May 12 was awarded the CoSIDA First-Team All-District award.
