Texas Tech second baseman Jace Jung stepped on campus with a last name known around college baseball. In his second season of college ball, they’ve learned his first name too. The 2021 Big 12 Player of the Year has had a historic season for the Red Raiders in leading them to a third-consecutive Super Regional. Jung is the Big 12 home run (21) and RBI (67) champion and heads into Super Regionals in the mix for the national lead in RBI. It’s not all about power with Jung as his elite plate discipline helped him reached base safely in the first 50 games of the season, including all 48 games during the regular season.
