UCLA junior right-hander Ryan Garcia has established himself as one of the most unhittable pitchers in college baseball, putting together a 7-0 record and ranking in the top-10 nationwide in ERA (1.27, fourth), WHIP (0.83, sixth) and hits allowed per nine innings (4.9, eighth), with two weeks to go in the regular season. Garcia has earned three Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week Awards this season despite not making his first full start until March 24, and has allowed two earned runs or fewer in every outing this year. His 14 strikeouts on April 26 are the most by a Pac-12 pitcher this season and the most by a Bruin since Trevor Bauer in 2011. He has 82 strikeouts on the campaign in just 64 innings, an average of 11.5 per nine innings.
