Louisville sophomore starting pitcher Reid Detmers has emerged in 2019 as one of the best pitchers in the country. Detmers slotted in as Louisville's Friday-night starter this season and has not disappointed. Through 13 starts, the left-hander entered the final week of the regular season leading the Atlantic Coast Conference in wins, ERA, strikeouts and opponents' batting average. Detmers has four starts this year in which he has allowed one hit or fewer, and has taken a no-hitter into the eighth inning on two occasions.
