J.B. Bukauskas has led a resurgent Carolina pitching staff that has ranked in the top 10 nationally in ERA all season. A 6-0, 201-pound junior right-hander from Ashburn, Virginia, Bukauskas enters the postseason 8-0 with an ACC-leading 1.87 ERA and 106 strikeouts over 82 innings of work as UNC's Friday-night starter. Bukauskas was recently named ACC Pitcher of the Year, becoming the fourth Tar Heel to garner that honor. With 284 career strikeouts at the end of the regular season, Bukauskas is poised to become the fifth pitcher in program history to reach 300 career Ks.
