Louisville junior infielder Drew Ellis was an All-ACC First Team selection after leading the conference in slugging percentage (.737) while also ranking second in batting average (.387) and on-base percentage (.481), and third in home runs (16). He also added 18 doubles and 51 RBIs and started all 55 games for the Cardinals. The Jeffersonville, Indiana, native was selected as the National Player of the Month in April by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association after hitting .455 (30-for-66) in 19 games with five doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 22 RBIs and a .532 on-base percentage.
