The SEC Player of the Year, Brent Rooker is the first MSU player ever to reach 20+ home runs, 25+ doubles and 70+ RBIs in a single season, and the first SEC hitter since Auburn's Todd Faulkner in 2000 to accomplish the feat. As of May 23, Rooker led the SEC in nine offensive categories: batting average, slugging, on-base percentage, hits, RBIs, doubles, home runs, total bases and stolen bases. Through 60 games, Rooker has put up offensive numbers that haven't been seen from Golden Spikes Award winners in years: He has the highest batting average and slugging percentage since Bryce Harper in 2010, the most total bases since Kris Bryant in 2013 and the most doubles since Khalil Greene in 2002).
