Nick Petree led the Missouri Valley Conference in strikeouts (111) and was second in the conference in wins (8), innings pitched (100 1/3) and ERA (1.61). Petree became the second Missouri State pitcher in the 50-year history of the program to record four consecutive double-digit strikeout performances, and he was the first pitcher in school history to record back-to-back 100-strikeout seasons. Petree earned his second-straight First-Team All-MVC selection and All-MVC Defensive Team choice in 2013.
