Mason Katz

Mason Katz led the SEC in RBIs in the regular season (64) and was second in home runs (14) and batting average (.388). Katz was named National and SEC Player of the Week twice in 2013, the first time coming March 18 after going 3-for-9 in the Mississippi State series with three homers, five RBIs and four runs scored. The second occurrence came on April 1 after he hit .611 with three home runs and 12 RBIs. In March, Katz hit a home run in five straight games, becoming the first LSU player to do so since 1998.
