Kevin Ziomek became the 10th pitcher in Vanderbilt history to win at least 10 games in a season in 2013, as he went 10-2 with a 1.99 ERA. He mowed down hitters often early in the season, logging a three-week stretch of 39 strikeouts over 25 innings, including back-to-back complete games vs. Illinois-Chicago and Oregon. Ziomek teamed up with Tyler Beede to become the third pitching duo in Vanderbilt history to each win 10 games in a season, joining Sonny Gray and Grayson Garvin (2011), and David Price and Casey Weathers (2007).
