Nick Petree was named the Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week three times this year, and was a First Team All MVC and All-Defensive team selection. From March 2 to May 17, Petree pitched 73 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run. In the regular season, Petree led the nation in ERA (0.91), ranked fourth in wins (10) and 19th in strikeouts (102). He became the seventh pitcher in school history to surpass the 100-strikeout plateau in a season.
