In 2012, Goose Kallunki led Utah Valley to its first ever ranking as a Division I program. Kallunki was named Great West Conference Player of the Year and conference Player of the Week three times. He hit a school-record 17 home runs. Kallunki finished the year fifth in the country in batting average (.429), tied for eighth in home runs (17) and first in RBIs (81).
