Victor Roache hit .335 while blasting 29 home runs and 78 RBIs en route to winning the SoCon Player of the Year. The sophomore set single-season SoCon and GSU records with his 29 long balls. Aside from being named first-team All-Conference, SoCon Player of the Year and Golden Spikes Award semifinalist, Roache was also named one of the 36 semifinalists for the Dick Howser Award. Off the field Roache was named to GSU's Dean's List.
