Tyler Anderson holds the Oregon all-time record with 285 career strikeouts and this season set the Oregon single-season record with 114 strikeouts. He also holds the Oregon single-game record with 14 strikeouts vs. Long Beach State (March 4, 2011). He was selected in the 50th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball First-Year Draft out of Spring Valley High School (Las Vegas), and after three years as Oregon's Friday-night starter, is projected to be a first-round draft pick in 2011. In 2010, became the first Duck named to the Pac-10 All-Conference Team in 39 years, and he was tabbed a 2011 preseason All-American by three different publications.
