The sophomore backstop from the University of Florida became just the second Gator in school history to win the SEC Player of the Year award (Matt LaPorta, Cleveland Indians, '05 and '07) after a season where he hit .383 with 15 home runs, 62 runs scored and 59 RBIs. Zunino also has handled a record-breaking UF pitching staff, committing just one error in 462 chances (.998 fielding percentage). He also has thrown out 10 would-be base stealers in 35 attempts.
