As the 2011 team captain, Michael Roth earned first team All-SEC honors as well as first team All-Academic honors. Posting a 10-3 regular-season record with a 1.28 ERA in 98.2 innings pitched helped him become a quarterfinalist for National Pitcher of the Year by the College Baseball Hall of Fame. Roth threw a complete game without giving up an earned run against Auburn in the SEC tournament to advance to the SEC championship game.
