This year Mark Pope ran a streak of 30 consecutive scoreless innings which spanned over five games from Feb. 18 to March 18. He also pitched 36 2/3 straight innings without allowing an earned run. Throwing three complete games this year helped him acquire National Player of the Week honors twice while also being named 2011 First-Team All ACC. He finished off the regular season with an 11-3 record and a 1.54 ERA while striking out 85 and only allowing 21 walks.
