The reigning National Player of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Baseball America, junior Anthony Rendon has become one of the most respected hitters in college baseball. Rendon has been walked 78 times in just 70 games this season including 22 intentional walks. The respect has limited his pitches to hit, but the slugger managed to hit .323 with five home runs, 33 RBIs and 53 runs. Rendon is a three-time first-team All-Conference USA, including two-time conference Player of the Year, and is now a three-time Golden Spikes Award semifinalist.
