Last year's All-BIG EAST Second Team selection was just as successful for the Cardinals in 2010. Junior third baseman Phil Wunderlich earned the accolade again this year and led the conference with 19 home runs to go along with a .356 average and 55 RBI during the regular season. He led Louisville in home runs (19) and of the starting nine, struck out the fewest (13). Wunderlich was the driving force behind the Cardinals this year, and at the end of the regular season, they sat atop the SEC standings with a 21-6 conference record.
