Paul Hoilman was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year and led the league in batting average (.428), hits (95), runs (76), home runs (24), total bases (194) and slugging percentage (.874). On the season, the junior first baseman set new Buccaneers single-season records for hits, runs, home runs, total bases, RBIs (77) and extra base hits (49). In addition to his leadership on the field, Hoilman was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America University Division I Baseball First Team. The mathematics major with a 3.93 GPA was the only junior to be named to the team.
