Expected to go in the top 15 in this year's MLB First-Year Player Draft, many wonder if Michael Choice will even stick around for that long. As of May 27, Choice had reached base safely in 68 consecutive games, which was the longest streak in the country. His on-base percentage ranks second in D-I baseball, and he leads the nation in walks. He finished the regular season batting .383 with 62 runs, 10 doubles, 16 home runs and 57 RBIs while starting and playing every game in center field and hitting in the No. 3 spot for the Mavericks. Choice was named the Southland Conference Player of the Year. He has been a standout athlete for the Mavericks since he stepped foot on campus, but his stock soared once he earned a spot on USA Baseball's 2009 Collegiate National Team.
