Following up last season's ACC Player of the Year and Collegiate Baseball First Team All-American honors, Deck McGuire has been a force throughout his junior season at Georgia Tech. He is the Yellow Jackets No. 1 weekend starter and one of the top pitchers in the country. At 6-6 McGuire has tremendous size on the mound and has four quality pitches to go with it. This season he is 8-3 with 105 strikeouts and holds a 2.83 ERA in 98.2 innings pitched. McGuire is no stranger to the Golden Spikes semifinal list, as he was a member last year as a sophomore with a 10-0 record.
