Last season as a freshman, Danny Hultzen was a do-it-all player for the Cavaliers. He went 9-1 on the mound with an ACC-leading 2.17 ERA, and he hit .327 from the plate with 37 RBIs and three home runs. He was ACC Freshman of the Year and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team as a DH. Now a sophomore, it is Hultzen's pitching that secured his GSA semifinalist nod. The lefty went 8-1 with a 2.08 ERA and 106 strikeouts this season, holding hitters to a mere .179 batting average against. Hultzen's 2010 season earned him an invitation to USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team Trials.
