Christian Colón led the Titans in home runs (14), walks (30) and he tied for the most runs with fellow Golden Spikes semifinalist Gary Brown. Colón became the first player in the history of USA Baseball’s Collegiate National Team to earn the title of team captain in 2009, and he led the club in hits (34), slugging (.459), home runs (5), RBIs (37), runs (31) and stolen bases (24). His performance earned him Baseball America’s Summer League Player of the Year. One of the top defensive players in the country as well, Colón is projected as a top pick in the upcoming MLB First-Year Player Draft.
