Anthony Meo might have flown under the radar coming into 2010 because he doesn't play in a national powerhouse conference, but in helping keep Coastal Carolina atop the rankings this year, he has risen to national prominence. Last year as a freshman, Meo was named to the Freshman All-American Team by NCBWA, Louisville Slugger and Ping! Baseball. This year as the No. 1 starter for the Chanticleers, Meo has appeared in 14 games and has a 12-1 record and 1.73 ERA. In his last regular-season appearance, Meo struck out 10 for his 12th win, sending his team into the Big South tournament on a high note.
