Xavier Scruggs has been the main bright spot for a struggling UNLV squad. An improving fielder, he can play both corner infield spots and has entrenched himself at first base this year, thanks to his impressive power at the plate. He's broken out in his junior year with a huge regular season, hitting 20 homers, driving in 65 runs and slugging .749. Those numbers have clearly made him one of the nation's premier power hitters.
